    Jalsah has published its first edition in October  2021. Five  published articles     came  from  several  campuses in Indonesia; UIN  Mataram,UIN  Sunan  Kalijaga Yogyakarta and IIQ An-Nur Yogyakarta. Themes that have been written vary,  ranging from criticism of hadith understanding,  interpretation analysis,   myths in the Quran to criticism of the ideology of Hizbut-Tahrir.  All published articles discuss about interpretation al-Quran and hadith. Hopefully, the articles that have been published can provide benefits to readers.

    Jalsah: The Journal of Al-Quran and As-sunnah Studies, in this edition (Volume 2, Number 2, 2022), has selected and sorted out five best articles, including: (1) the research of Sunan Kalijaga Lecturer concerning Rhetorical Interpretation of the Qur'an on Social Media: Ustaz Adi Hidayat's Persuasive Pattern on YouTube. (2) the article of IIQ Yogyakarta student related to Majaz Istiarah (Ibn 'Āshr view's in the al-Tahrir wa al-Tanwir). (3) the research of UIN Sunan Kalijaga student about "Fiqh cum Sophistic Exegesis on al-Baḥr al-Madīd: Analysis of Exoteric and Esoteric Meanings based on Ibn 'Ajībah's Perspective of Qs: al-Taubah (9:103). (4) collaborative research between UIN Sunan Kalijaga and UIN Walisongo student's discussing Religious Moderation: Tracing the Value of Moderation in Abul Kalam Azad Perspective's in Term al-Ḥamd. (5) the article of UAD teaching staff about Comparative Study between the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Muhammad Thalib Translations of Qs. al-Mu'awwidzat.

    In this edition (Volume 1, Number 2, 2022), Jalsah: The Journal of Al-Quran and As-sunnah Studies has selected and sorted out its five best articles, including: (1) the article of LKiS researcher related to a semiotic analysis against the Quranic verses usage of @Biabyzaskiamecca, (2) the research of alumnus of UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda regarding the definition of Thagut using the semiotics of Julia Kristeva, (3) the essay of UIN Sunan Kalijaga student discussing Abdullah Saeed's contextual interpretation in terms of disability according to QS. ‘Abasa (80): 1-10, (4) the article of UIN Sunan Kalijaga student concerning critical discourse analysis of Arthur Jeffery’s book The Foreign Vocabulary of The Quran, (5) and the research of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya student in regard with the interpretation of surah al-Mā’ūn (107): 4-5 about negligence in prayer in the eyes of al Qurthubi and Sayyid Qutb. Hopefully, these published articles could provide benefits to the readers.
